Independence Day for Honduras

We enjoyed celebrating Independence Day for Honduras.  Here are a few pictures from the parade.  Then tonight I made papusas for dinner!

Look at the pictures here on my blog and see more pictures on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.488733947966819.1073741844.193111487529068&type=1&l=ff1d47e753

    1. Well in general, I have noticed that younger generations of Hondurans take lots of pride in their appearance. (Though it might not be what the average Southerner might agree with.). These are also high schools and such that have provided outfits for their students. Many of these outfits are (in person) obviously hand made or altered items from used clothing stores (usually American). And uncomfortable shoes can be found cheaply in certain cities. Plus remember we are in a city for language school. Though many of these people live better than many areas, you are right they do without a lot. But just like parents in the U.S., they will work hard and do without for their children to go to a good school or participate in activities. Have you ever donated clothing? Well, tons of it ends up here.
